Farewell To My Friends in TIPQC

“Someone can walk into your life and it is not until after they walk out that you realize that they were even there.”

We all experienced at a certain point in our lives the grief of losing someone special. The pain is not as petty as spilling a glass of milk and as physical as cutting your finger. The hurt is deep within you and nothing could ever pacify it, except time.

Letting go is a part of human nature. Everybody goes through the immense hole that people leave in your heart when they go away. We can never be immune with the pain. It is a fact that no one can keep someone they love for as long as they want because there will come a time when we have to break the bond. As much as you hate it, as much as it hurts, you have to let go.

Loving and letting go is probably the hardest thing you have to do. Meeting someone special then saying goodbye may stab your heart so badly you could never learn to recover from it. But these only mean that you are strong enough for the pain it could bring and brave enough to accept it.

Yes, the agony is inevitable. But by losing people dear to you and crying over them shows that they have been an important part of your life. The pain may last long, but the moments you share with each other are there to help you lessen the pain.

Every beginning has its ending and every ending there’s a new world waiting. Let us keep it in our mind the essence of the people who are just past by in our lives. Just be grateful for those people who came into your life, who left a mark in your existence, and who shaped you to become who you are today.

People who are closest to you are the ones you have a hard time letting go of. Friends and classmates who have been there since God only knows when, who have been with you through thick and thin (how many times do I hear that line?), and who have been caring and understanding to help you with the load. And who can easily forget the professors? I am just first year but I’ve already experienced the panic that surrounds the whole class just because of the burdens that they given us. Well, I guess that’s their way of giving us the affection that we need. By giving out tons of homework, quizzes (that looks like a final exam, haha!), by their incessant scolding (we just loooove those lectures, don’t we?), and their takes on being young again. These people are hard to find so we must be grateful to Him because He gave us a chance to meet them and have them in our lives. Yes, I can never know who will I get acquainted with after I leave TIP QC, so treasure every minute left though we’re just incoming second year. Do anything (just don’t let your grade slip), be crazy and have fun! Remember our saying “tiwala lang..”? We knew it from the start how much these two words contain in time.

Don’t let regret take hold of you. No buts, no ifs. Say everything you wanted to say before it’s too late. It could never be too late for those who try, but only for those who give up.

Goodbye and good luck on both of us.
